1. Base Price Inclusions
1.1 Equipment
• Inverter
One AlphaESS Smile5 inverter (5KWh).
• Batteries
The number of AlphaESS Smile5 batteries is determined by the selected package. For a 13.3kWh capacity package, 1 battery is provided; for a 26.6kWh capacity package, 2 batteries are included; and for a 40kWh capacity package, 3 batteries are supplied.
• Expansion Boxes
The quantity of expansion boxes is based on the total battery capacity determined by the package. When the selected package has a total battery capacity of 13.3kWh, 0 expansion boxes are provided. For a 26.6kWh package, 1 expansion box is included, and for a 40kWh package, 2 expansion boxes are supplied.
1.2 Installation - related Services
• It applies to single-storey buildings with floor-mount installation. It includes battery inspection and an Electrical Safety Certificate.
• Within 50km radius from the CBD core of each state capital (excluding Tasmania and the Northern Territory).
1.3 Cables & Delivery
• Cables are within 5m.
• Within 50km radius from the CBD core of each state capital (excluding Tasmania and the Northern Territory); no stairs and no vehicle access obstructions.
Items not included are detailed in the notes below.
2. Contingency Costs & Optional Services
All add-on items are quoted transparently and require customer written consent before proceeding, in compliance with Australian Consumer Law (ACL) requirements for upfront disclosure.
The additional items listed below may be mandatory depending on the customer’s on-site conditions and state regulatory requirements. Other unlisted optional extras are subject to the official quotation of the service provider.
2.1 Delivery of Dangerous Goods (DG) Batteries

For distances exceeding 50 kilometres: charged for round trip, with distance and route determined by Google Maps.
2.2 Labour & Travel Fee
• Free Travel Eligibility
Within 50 kilometres from the CBD core of each state capital.

For distance exceeding 50 kilometres.
2.3 Switchboard / Metering extras
• Three-phase Power – Smart Meter Installation
• No spare space in the meter box switch compartment will require an electrical box upgrade.
• When equipment needs power during outages or local supply is unstable, a backup is needed.
2.4 Battery Cabling & Installation Extra Fees
• Damaged Solar Inverter – DC-Coupled Installation with Battery
• Over 5m cabling
2.5 Safety Facility Installation
• Bollard
All garage installations require additional safety bollards.
• Smoke Alarms
All enclosed installation locations require additional smoke alarms. If a whole-house fire alarm system is already installed, the customer shall arrange smoke detection in compliance with relevant state building regulations.
• Cement Sheets
Where the battery is mounted on flammable material walls, additional cement fire protection boards are required. Customer may arrange fire-rated wall protection works independently.
• pavers
For installation on unhardened ground such as gravel or soil, additional pavers are required. Customer may complete ground hardening works by themselves.
• shade shelter
For locations exposed to direct sunlight, an additional shade shelter is required. Customer may arrange sun shading protection independently. This is not a regulatory requirement, but mandatory for product warranty compliance.
3. Serviceable Locations & Distance Range
Standard service applies to addresses within a 150 km radius of each state capital city CBD. Locations outside this radius may incur additional transparent travel charges or be deemed unserviceable, at the sole discretion of the authorised battery service provider, with clear written advice to the customer.
